In the third installment of a series on knowing love, the speaker builds on previous messages about identity ("Name") and capability ("Able") to explore what it means to carry the greater image of God in a world full of counterfeit claims to power and authority. Drawing from 1 John 4 and Mark 12, the sermon contrasts the graven image, that which is stamped, manufactured, and ultimately counterfeit, with the true image of God breathed into humanity at creation. The central claim is that greatness is not measured by worldly standards of success, independence, or happiness, but by whose image we carry and who sits on the throne of our lives. When Christ is on the throne, believers are freed to pursue significance over success, interdependence over independence, and freedom over fleeting happiness.
