Walking in Love

What does it truly mean to walk in love? Not the kind of love that comes naturally to us, but the kind that transforms us from the inside out. This message takes us deep into the heart of 2 John, a brief but powerful letter that distills everything the Gospel of John and 1 John teach us about love and truth. We explore the four Greek words for love and discover that three of them, eros, filial love, and storge, are built into us from birth. But agape love, the love God commands us to show one another, isn't something we can manufacture on our own. We must receive it from God with the humility of a small child reaching up to a loving parent. That image reshapes everything about how we approach our faith. We are not called to try harder. We are called to draw closer. The message challenges us to consider whether we rely on our own emotional and relational resources to fulfill the greatest commandment, or whether we return again and again to the source of agape love itself. Walking in love, walking in truth, and walking in obedience are not three separate goals. They are three expressions of the same reality, inseparable and mutually sustaining.
