 We thank God for our brand new Cub Scout troop 31 who arrived early on Memorial Day to place flags on all the Veteran's graves.  We thank God for all of you!

The recent passage of comprehensive medical reforms has be a difficult and unusually contentious process.  In the midst of it all, the United Methodist Church, Board of Church and Society has been recently raised up as a group that has lobbied for health care and reform of our current system.

Thanks so much for the outpouring of support for UMCOR's Haiti relief efforts - the generosity is amazing!  As of February 18, 2010,  LUMC has donated over $1200 and nationwide $12 million has been received for UMCOR Haiti Relief and Hundreds of thousands of kits have been received at UMCOR Sager Brown and are being verified for shipment to Haiti.
