Chancel Choir
(view online here)
The Chancel Choir, directed by Ralph Williams, is a long-standing institution at Lancaster United Methodist Church, providing anthems during the 10:45 Sunday worship service for well over 65 years.  During that time, the choir has expanded its activities to include community concerts.  In 2007 members of the group traveled to New York City to participate in a special concert at Lincoln Center’s Avery Fisher Hall, where United Methodist choirs from around the U.S. celebrated Charles Wesley in song under the direction of Dr. Eph Ehly.

Chancel Choir rehearses every Thursday night, 7:30-9 p.m., in the choir room, as well as from 9:45-10:30 Sunday mornings.

Oliver Handbell Choir (view online here)

The Oliver Handbell Choir, directed by Mary Zimmerman, was named for Russell and Dorothy Oliver, who donated the original 3 octave set of Schulmerich handbells to the church in 1989.  The choir regularly contributes to the 10:45 Sunday worship service, as well as weddings, funerals and special services.  The choir is also active in the community and beyond, performing at such events as the Lancaster Christmas Walk, LDS Creche Festival, Quartz Hill Women's Club Christmas Luncheon, and Joshua Memorial annual Christmas Service.  Members also travel to Las Vegas every year to participate in that city’s 12th Night Festival.

The Oliver Handbell Choir rehearses every Thursday night, 5:45-7:15 p.m., in the Choir Room.
